TARGET AUDIENCE
The programme is designed to meet the needs of those learners both employed or unemployed, who are already involved in administration or who wish to gain knowledge and skills within the field of administration.
The programme is aimed at providing the necessary skills and knowledge for careers such as Secretarial Services, Reception Services, Switchboard Operators, Personal Assistants, Data Capturing, Administration Clerks, Project Administration and Project Co-ordination.
These career paths can be within any industry that has administration or operations related administration processes as the candidates will gain knowledge and skills in key outcomes such as:

RECOMMENDED ENTRY CRITERIA
To enable the candidate to fulfil the requirements of this qualification it is assumed that the candidates will meet the following entry requirements:
- Communication at NQF Level 3 (Grade 11 or equivalent)
- Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3 (Grade 11 or equivalent)
- Computer Literacy at NQF Level 3 (Grade 11 or equivalent)
METHODOLOGY
30% Classroom
70% Workplace
DURATION – 12 Months
Comprehensive: Up to 24 face to face contact sessions
Blended learning: Up to 7 contact sessions (must have literacy and maths to matric level)
Online / Self-study: Up to 3 contact sessions with email and telephone support (must have literacy and maths to Matric level)
CURRICULUM
Qualification certification requires that the candidates obtain credits towards three components:
Fundamental: All unit standards totalling 56 credits are compulsory
Core: All unit standards totalling 73 credits compulsory
Elective: Unit standards totalling 11 credits
