It focuses on enabling the learner to understand and apply various analytical and systems thinking skills. Analytical and systems thinking is a critical component of visual thinking that gives the participant the ability to solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts, making decisions that make sense based on available information. It involves a methodical step-by-step approach to thinking that allows the breakdown of complex problems into single and manageable components.
Such skills include demonstration of the ability to apply logical thinking to gathering and analysing relevant information and identifying key issues related to this information. This type of thinking also requires the comparison of data from different sources; identify possible cause and effect patterns, and draw appropriate conclusions from these datasets in order to arrive at appropriate solutions.
